Is parking free?

No. Parking at the Banff Gondola is not free for most visitors.

A daily parking fee applies for vehicles parked at the Banff Gondola and Banff Upper Hot Springs parking area. Payment is made on-site, and the fee covers the day rather than being charged by the hour.

If you'd rather avoid paying for parking, there are convenient alternatives. During the summer season, a free Banff Gondola shuttle operates from downtown Banff for guests with valid gondola tickets. You can also take Roam Transit, which provides service between downtown Banff and the gondola.
