How much parking is available?

Mount Norquay has a large, free parking area at the base of the resort that is designed to accommodate visitors throughout both the summer sightseeing season and the winter ski season. There is ample space for passenger vehicles, SUVs, and pickup trucks, and most visitors have little difficulty finding a parking spot during the summer. The resort specifically promotes the base area as having plenty of free parking for sightseeing chairlift guests.

The parking lot is significantly larger than those at many other Banff attractions because it also serves winter ski operations. Planning documents indicate the combined parking areas can accommodate approximately 850 vehicles, along with space for tour buses.

During the summer sightseeing season, parking is rarely a major concern. Even on busy weekends, the lot generally has enough capacity to handle visitors comfortably. Arriving earlier in the day can provide the best choice of parking spaces and allow for a more relaxed start to your visit, but unlike many popular Banff destinations, Mount Norquay typically does not experience the same level of parking congestion.

The parking area is located only a short walk from the ticket office, chairlift loading area, and base lodge, so there is very little walking required after you arrive.
