Can children walk the boardwalk?

Yes. The Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk is an excellent walk for children and is one of the most family-friendly experiences at the Banff Gondola summit.

The boardwalk is approximately 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) round trip, making it a comfortable distance for most children. The wooden pathway is wide, well maintained, and easy to follow, allowing families to walk at their own pace while stopping frequently to admire the scenery.

Children often enjoy the changing views as they walk along the mountain ridge. They can look down on the Banff townsite, spot the Bow River winding through the valley, identify famous mountains like Mount Rundle and Cascade Mountain, and watch for birds soaring overhead.
