Yes, Banff Gondola tickets are timed. When you purchase a ticket, you select a specific boarding time for your ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. This timed-entry system helps manage visitor numbers and reduces wait times throughout the day.

Your selected time is for your upward journey. You should arrive at the lower terminal a little before your scheduled boarding time so you have enough time to check in and make your way to the loading area.

Once you reach the summit, you are not limited to a fixed amount of time.
